Why we exist
Brazil's Forest Code (Law 12.651/2012) mandates that 80% of Amazon rural properties remain as untouched Legal Reserve. In practice, landowners must protect the world's most valuable ecosystem at their own expense, with zero compensation. The economic equation rewards destruction and penalises preservation.
HopeAmazon breaks that equation. Over 60,000 hectares of virgin Amazon forest are already under PSA contracts (Pagamento por Serviços Ambientais · Law 14.119/2021), with an anti-deforestation clause embedded in every individual agreement. Sentinel-2 monitoring every 17–22 days. Immutable blockchain registration. A monthly satellite report delivered to each subscriber.

During field visits, the team identified opportunities for educational support and dialogue with local communities, opening the way for initiatives that connect preservation, education and human development.
